Following the withdrawal of the Virgin Australia Embraer E170 fleet and with the Boeing 737 fleet required for expansion of services between major Australian ports the decision was taken to wet lease two Fokker F100 aircraft from Alliance Airlines for services from Brisbane.
The aircraft were prepared by stripping them of all branding so that they appeared
in a plain white livery. Services commenced on 13 February 2012 serving the Brisbane
Ironically other Alliance Airlines Fokker F100s were flying simultaneously on the
Virgin Australia Aircraft Types.
